WA-Gov. Gregoire Endorses Barack Obama!
Fri Feb 08, 2008 at 08:23:44 AM PDT
Just announced on KING-5 as I was watching this morning, but I don't see this on the Seattle Times web site. I was wondering why she didn't show up to the Hillary rally last night... well they're reporting she's going to show up at the Obama rally at 12:30. Of course there are practical considerations for a Governor facing a tough re-election campaign in a state that is likely to go to Obama. But this is huge to blunt any momentum for Hillary.
The governor told The Associated Press it was a difficult choice, given her great admiration for Hillary Clinton, but that Obama is a skilled leader who can bring the country together, help solve some nagging problems, and restore the country's image abroad.
Obama in Seattle Friday: Insider Tips?
Thu Feb 07, 2008 at 08:33:04 AM PDT
Announced last night... Barack Obama will be in Seattle Friday! Will he fill up 17,000 seat Key Arena? Perhaps. My question for those of you who might have attended an Obama rally of this sort... when should I show up? 8 am? 9 am? The night before? Well, the latter is probably not happening... I don't even own an umbrella because they keep getting blown away in windstorms.

Why I'm Caucusing For Obama This Saturday
Wed Feb 06, 2008 at 01:34:38 PM PDT
The last time I cast a vote for someone in a context where it actually mattered was 2000. Al Gore was running a terrible campaign against an idiot governor he should have put away easily, and with Nader in the picture there was talk that his appeal to the size-able far left vote in Washington State could give Bush--much to our horror--a win here. I wanted to vote for Nader; I admit it. But I pinched my nose and voted Gore. Now I’m rather glad I did. He was the president we should have had, and he's shown that beneath the mismanaged politician is an intelligent, passionate, and selfless individual. Perhaps that's why he was never destined to be a president.
This Saturday, my vote will once again matter in a way it has not except that one time. I will stand up and caucus for Obama.
