Did nobody see "Santa"? - Obama article misread

Tue Aug 05, 2008 at 04:01:00 PM PDT

Did nobody actually read the whole article?  Even Rachael Maddow given the perfect opportunity 15 minutes ago on MSNBC's Race to the White House didn't debunk this meme that's been going around based on a recent interview.

I'm assuming most people saw the Politico article

http://www.politico.com/...

But they all must be reading it in a hurry because the part where the Obama's daughter

Malia says, ‘I know there is a Santa because there’s no way you’d buy me all that stuff.’

seems to be left out.

Let There Be Questions - we need kids like this

Ran across this while viewing an Obama article and thought what a well-spoken young man we have in the making with this article's author.

Questioning authority yes we can, and at such a young age (compared to mine of course)

One Issue Voters - Obama PA remarks

Sun Apr 13, 2008 at 05:10:07 PM PDT

The thing about Obama is that he doesn't use phrases that many of us expect.  Maybe it's because he thinks about politics differently than most candidates that he doesn't use labels.  But after listening to his resounding reply to the other camps criticizing his remarks about small town voters it's apparent that sometimes the expected phrase could be helpful.

Who is Florida's Mother?

or in this case Father.

Remember the biblical story of 2 women who come to the king both claiming that an infant is theirs?  The king says to split the baby in two and give them each half, one woman says no, don't hurt the baby.  The king gave her the baby as she proved she was the real mother.

Senator Byrd and Iraq

Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 09:09:37 PM PDT

It seems fitting that on this month of the 5th anniversary of the unjust and unwarranted war in Iraq which has been borne upon the shoulders of 4000 dead Americans and untold numbers of Iraqies that we remember more of its beginning.

I'm currently reading Obama's "Audacity of Hope" and just 15 minutes ago read of his first meeting with Senator Bryd which inspired me to look up more about their relationship.  In the book Obama forgives Byrd for his involvement in the KKK in his younger days just as he forgives Wright for his recent outspokenness.

But I never paid much attention to who voted for or against the Iraq war resolution other than knowing Edwards did and regretted it, Clinton did and is wishy washy on disowning it, Obama couldn't vote on it but did speak out about it.

But another senator was eloquent is his Nay vote and his beration of the halls of the "silent senate" on the eve of war.  He has recently recovered from a fall and is back at work.

May I present US Senator Robert Byrd from West Virginia.
