Wapo: Obama "rewriting rules" for online fundraising - we're not ATMs!

There's a great story in today's Washington Post about Obama's phenomenal success in raising campaign contributions online. Like everyone on dkos, I already knew firsthand just how impressive Obama's online fundraising has been, but I learned a lot more in the article about just HOW impressive his Internet operation really is. And WaPo's analysis of Obama's success in using the Internet illustrates several reasons why I am such a strong supporter of his.
Online Fundraising Won on March 4

The stakes seem so high in this election because of the competition between political paradigms and styles.
Obama puts forward a new, inclusive paradigm, featuring a synthesis of online organizing and the traditional, Saul Alinsky kind. Hillary’s style, in contrast, seems to be a Frankenstein-like synthesis of Clintonian triangulation and Rovian deception. Obama's style is deliberate, self-conscious and inspiring. Hillary's is reactive, unprogressive and, alas, clearly still formidable.
When I woke up this morning to the headlines, I feared the triumph of the Morris/Penn/Rove style.
Wow: Obama's new donor explosion!

If you've been to Obama's campaign homepage - I'm assuming one or two of you have seen it? - you know there's a little counter that keeps track of new donors in 2008.
Well, that counter is racing right now like a clock in a movie about time-travel.
Take a look.
UPDATE: CNN covers Obama $7.2m online fundraising

Since I yelled at them for it earlier, here's some props to CNN for tacking it on to the ticker.
Obama raises $7.2 million since Super Tuesday
NEW ORLEANS (AP) – Democratic Sen. Barack Obama has raised $7.2 million for his presidential campaign since the first polls closed on Super Tuesday night, his campaign said Thursday, a remarkable figure that is causing concern among supporters of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Meanwhile Thursday, the Clinton campaign asked Obama to debate once a week, but he demurred.
Obama, riding a wave of fundraising from large donors and small Internet contributors, also raised $32 million in January.
Rest of the story below.
